The rooftop Aquaponic system built in Cuba came with many challenges. Primary was the lack of materials needed for construction of the system. For example, lumber, river rock, fish, floating raft sheets, liner, and commercial fish food is in short supply. As helping families feed themselves is our primary purpose, using locally resourced materials is at the center of our approach. Through creative thought and patience, it was possible  to accomplish our objectives. Not too different than any place else.

 

Below are steps in the process of building the rooftop Aquaponic system in Cuba.
