The orignal design of the system was to be media. River rock is not sold in the stores so we ventured into the jungle in search of suitable media. Some were found that would have worked great, but upon closer inspection, a pipe running gray water into the river was noticed. Polluted rocks. Other river beds we sampled and tested had rocks that were high in calcuim. The granite we located was also reactive.
